SPOUSAL SUPPORT CALCULATOR INSTRUCTIONS

1. Complete all the fields below and then click the Calculate Spousal Support button.
2. If a field has nothing to be entered, enter a zero.
3. Round each entry to the nearest dollar.
4. If you don't know the value to enter in any field, enter your best estimate. Remember that the spousal support guideline result will be as correct as your estimates.
5. Bear in mind that this tool calculates "temporary" spousal support that might typically be awarded during a divorce process. The court has broader discretion under the Family Code over permanent spousal support that may be ordered for periods of time after the divorce is final.
6. If you're not sure about some of the values to enter, you can play "what-if" by entering different values and re-clicking the Calculate Spousal Support button to see how the spousal support result changes.
